Pie Chart
======
When and how to use Pie Charts for Visual Analysis
If you have a dimension with just a couple of categories to compare, then a pie chart can help display each value of a category within the whole. The chart should read as a comparison of each group to each other, forming a whole category. The “whole” could be anything so long as the category can be split into separate slices that are distinguishable from each other.
Use a pie chart if:
You have a total number that can be split up into 2-5 categories.
One category outweighs the other by a significant margin.
It divides data into segments within a circular framework. Pie charts are helpful for personal use, business analysis, and professional reporting.
Bubble Charts
===
Bubble charts are interactive graphs that position applications in different quadrants, based on their indicator scores. Based on the position of the business application in the quadrants, enterprise architects can take decisions to invest in, sustain, migrate, or retire the business applications.
Use the bubble chart to view indicator scores of business applications in the X and Y axes and specify the bubble sizes. You can use these scores to measure how your applications are aligned to your business strategy and then create demands for the applications.
