1️⃣ Understand Business Vision & Challenges
First, I’ll engage with senior stakeholders across business, operations, compliance, and IT to: Understand business goals, regulatory drivers (e.g., SEBI in case of BFSI), and customer expectations.
Identify pain points in current workflows, customer journeys, and product delivery.
🔍 This ensures technology is aligned with measurable business outcomes like faster onboarding, improved compliance, and AUM growth.
2️⃣ Define the Digital Strategy
I’ll co-create a digital blueprint that includes:
Target architecture (microservices, APIs, cloud-native design)
Platform modernization goals (legacy to microservices on Azure)
Core capabilities like self-service, automation, data insights, and omnichannel access.
Roadmap aligned to business KPIs (e.g., time-to-market, cost per transaction, customer retention)
3️⃣ Establish Architecture & Governance
I’ll introduce: A modular, domain-driven microservices architecture on Azure Cloud (AKS, Azure API Management, Cosmos DB, etc.) DevSecOps pipelines for CI/CD, quality gates, and continuous deployment Governance forums to enforce security, compliance, and architectural standards
4️⃣ Quick Wins & MVP Delivery
I’ll prioritize 2–3 high-impact use cases (e.g., digital KYC, investment advisory chatbot, customer portal) to: Deliver MVPs in 8–12 weeks Showcase value to stakeholders Build confidence in the transformation journey
5️⃣ Scale Across the Enterprise
Based on lessons from MVPs, I’ll: Scale microservices across other domains (e.g., NAV processing, transaction workflows) Migrate legacy modules in a phased, low-risk manner Ensure high availability, observability, and resiliency using Azure-native tools
6️⃣ Drive Culture & Capability
Finally, I’ll invest in: Building cross-functional agile teams Upskilling people in cloud, security, DevOps, and data Promoting a culture of innovation, continuous feedback, and data-driven decision-making
